Ever lie awake at night listening to sounds of chewing or scurrying?  You are not alone.

A large percentage of homes and commercial buildings are infested with mice and/or rats.  Some say they don’t hear any sounds... this doesn’t necessarily mean they are living in a mouse and/or rat free environment.

Catching an occasional one or two in your home or building SHOULD bother you.   It takes two mice to cause a whole infestation.  This infestation will spread throughout the home causing damage and health concerns along the way.

Poisons are harmful to the environment, and unhealthy to have in the home.   In most cases, the poisoned mouse or rat will not make it out of the home... instead they will die in a wall or somewhere in the attic.  If they make it out they will be found in the yard – not good if you have children or pets.

Start the process of ‘prevention’ by cleaning up around the perimeter of your home or building. Remove any debris, flowers, and weeds and cut back bushes or hedges. Fill any outside gaps or cracks with steel wool and then cover with mortar or caulking. Screen all outside bathroom and dryer vents with no more than ¼ x ¼  steel mesh. Then start trapping the mice and/or rats inside your home and seal indoor gaps accordingly.
